Tuesday, June 18th 2019, Minister Petre Daea will lead the works of the Council of the European Union (Agriculture and Fisheries) in Luxembourg.
The main topics on the Council's agenda are addressing legislative deliberations regarding the Regulation on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund - Partial General approach - as well as the Progress Report on the post-2020 CAP reform package (Regulation on CAP Strategic Plans, The Horizontal Regulation, the Regulation on the Common Organization of Agricultural Markets - CMO).
Also, within the Council, the Commission will also deliver a report on the state of play of the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), this communication providing the necessary framework to implement the principles of the Common Fisheries Policy. In this context, the Commission will submit proposals for fishing quotas for 2020 in the future regulations and will take place exchange of views on the fishing activities in 2020.
The Presidency of Romania to the Council of the European Union ensures the process of negotiation and settlement of the EU position for harmonizing the EU Member States' views on fishing opportunities for 2020.
