Achim Irimescu, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, participated on Monday, May 16, 2016 at the 10th edition of " AGROstandard Conferences " which was held in the Aula Magna of the Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences "Gheorghe Ionescu-Sisesti" (AAFS). The event was organized by the publication AgroStandard and TMT PR in partnership with the Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences in Bucharest, the large confederations of farmers - Pro AGRO, Ropac Alliance, Confederation of Peasants Associations of Romania (mule), Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romanian - German Chamber of Commerce Romania - Israel.
In his intervention, the Minister spoke of Law 321/2009 on food marketing in the context of the need for a settlement between all participants in the agri-food chain as well as the difficult situation that the milk producers are facing - special price low farmgate milk. An important role in addressing this issue may have production cooperatives that can bring high quality products on the consumer's table, but it be must be taken into account many factors, especially those related to infrastructure.
The Minister also spoke about the changes made in Order 619, as well as the simplifications of the regulatory framework on accessing European funds and about the implementation of the projects funded under the National Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 (NRDP 2020). The decisions were taken following a series of public debates at district level to identify solutions in order to adapt and simplify the legislation, for producers and those who want to access European funds. These measures are designed to increase the level of accessing European funds for agriculture and rural development.
